SENATOR PILEGGI ANNOUNCES $500,000 GRANT TO PATHWAYSPA
Media, Pennsylvania -- Senator Dominic F. Pileggi (R-9) announced today that PathWaysPA has received $500,000 in funding from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP). PathWaysPA, formerly known as the Women's Association for Women's Alternatives, provides residential and community services to women and children in the greater Philadelphia area. The RACP appropriation will fund the renovation of the PathwaysPA Center for Families in Wawa, Delaware County. Plans to modernize and expand the facility will increase the residential capacity by 25% while improving services to the families in residence. The expanded Center will be able to accommodate up to 16 mothers and their children or up to 50 individuals at any one time.
Senator Pileggi will appear to present a check to PathWaysPA at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2006. The presentation will take place at the PathWaysPA Center for Families located at 519 Station Road in Wawa.
